'Sustainable Shelter: Dwelling with the Forces of Nature'
Through May 26, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. 'Sustainable Shelter: Dwelling with the Forces of Nature' Ongoing Exhibits: Through graphics, cartoons, interactive computer games and more, this exhibition explores biodiversity, human and animal architecture, energy and water conservation and ecosystems, all from the perspective of the home. Efficiency Vermont is offering a 50% discount on adult admission for Vermont residents through the end of April. Visit to obtain a coupon.
Baby Animal Day
Sat., April 19, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Baby Animal Day Nature & Science: Visitors "ooh" and "ah" over cute and cuddly calves, lambs, chicks, ducklings and goslings. Horse-drawn wagon rides, tours of the heirloom garden and children's activities round out the day. All ages.
Planetarium Presentation
Saturdays, 1:30-2:30 p.m. and Sundays, 1:30-2:30 p.m. Continues through April 27 Planetarium Presentation Nature & Science: An astronomy expert offers a guided tour of the cosmos. Ages 5 and up.
Vermont Maple Festival
Fri., April 25, 10 a.m.-7 p.m., Sat., April 26, 7 a.m.-7 p.m. and Sun., April 27, 7 a.m.-4 p.m. Vermont Maple Festival Fairs & Festivals: Come on, get sappy! Marionette shows, Main Street entertainment, specialty foods, a giant parade and more showcase Vermont's signature sweet. All ages.
Capital City Winter Farmers Market
Sat., April 26, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Capital City Winter Farmers Market Food: Root veggies, honey, maple syrup and more change hands at an off-season celebration of locally grown food held in the gymnasium. All ages.
Norwich Winter Farmers Market
Sat., April 26, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Norwich Winter Farmers Market Food: Farmers offer produce, meats and maple syrup, which complement baked goods and handcrafted items from local artists. All ages.
Ride for Children
Sun., June 1, 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Ride for Children Health & Fitness: Families navigate a four-mile course on two—or three—wheels, then enjoy activities and treats. Ages 3 and up. Older kids and adults can also participate in a 16-, 30- or 55-mile bike ride. Proceeds benefit Lund's programs to help children and families.
