Much of Vermont's challenging mountain bike terrain is located in or near Vermont's four season mountain resorts. |
Many resorts offer bike rentals and mapped trail systems. Several alpine resorts have adapted chair lifts to accommodate bikes during the summer and fall seasons. On state lands mountain biking is allowed on gravel surfaced roads including:
- Missisquoi Valley Rail Trail
- Delaware and Hudson Rail Trail
- State Park roads
- and Trails in the Cottonbrook and Ricker basins above the Waterbury Reservoir (near Waterbury)
