The Group of Seven
Grand Isle – November 2, 2009
Canada’s regions create an artistic mosaic with their diversity – the Maritimes, Rockies, Plains, Old Quebec, First Nations and more. Inspired by Thom Thomson, Canada’s unique artists (known as The Group of Seven) felt that Canadians would recognize themselves if they saw the beauty of their landscape. 7 p.m. Grand Isle Methodist Church, Hyde Road.  For more information, call 802-372-9099.

West African Dance and Drum Festival
Burlington – November 5-8, 2009
Jeh Kulu Dance and Drum Theater presents Vermont's Annual West African Dance and Drum Festival. Join Jeh Kulu for four days of classes in West African dance and music from Mali, Senegal and Guinea. Observers welcome. Founded in 1993, Jeh Kulu brings together people of all ages and backgrounds to honor the joyous traditions of West Africa. Church Bazaar and Quilt Show
Springfield – November 7, 2009
The First Congregational Church, UCC, will sponsor its Church Bazaar and 7th Annual Quilt Show. Enjoy hand-crafted gifts, handmade quilts and more. 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. 77 Main Street. For more information, call 802-885-5728.

Annual Quilt Show
Shelburne – November 14-15, 2009
Champlain Valley Quilters' Guild presents its annual quilt show at the historic Shelburne Farms Coach Barn.  The show features a spectacular display of quilts, wall of quilts silent auction, crafts, quilt raffle, merchant mall, special theme quilt displays, demonstrations and refreshments. Holiday Art Show
Milton – November 7, 2009
Shop for affordable fine arts by local artists, including oil, acrylic and watercolor paintings, pen and ink, colored pencil, collage art, photography, jewelry, wood signs and wood craftsmanship and sculpture. 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Milton Grange Hall, River Street. Southern Vermont Fiber Event
Brattleboro – November 21, 2009
A wide variety of vendors will be selling fiber and products from llamas, alpacas, sheep, goats, rabbits and spun dog hair. Also for sale will be knitted, crocheted and woven items, weaving and spinning supplies, needle felted creation and kits, drop spindles, quilts, yarn, cards, photographs and more. Annual Game Supper
