Vermont Agricultural Fairs: 2009
Vermonters have enjoyed summer fairs almost as long as the state has been in existence, and the event known today as the Vermont State Fair began near Rutland in 1846. Agricultural exhibits are still a staple of today's summer fairs, and whirling rides, exciting entertainment and demolition derbies are all part of the fun.
