Vermont's Designated Downtowns
Vermont has 22 "Designated Downtowns." Nine of them are located along the route of the Amtrak Vermonter.
Vermont is noted for its scenic towns and villages. Communities with designated downtowns are where you'll find buildings, streets, and architecture of historical significance, but Vermont downtowns also provide the most unique of shopping and dining experiences.
