Then there’s the must-have summer food like fried dough, maple ice-cream, and barbeque chicken with farm-fresh corn. A midway will lure young and old to rides both sedate and scary, and there will be plenty of opportunities to try your skill and luck in pursuit of carnival prizes. Come evening the midway lights up and entertainment gears up. You might join in an arm-wrestling competition, or grab some popcorn and enjoy a demolition derby or a stage full of rocking musicians.
