Vermont Byways

Route 100 Byway

The best way to "meet" Vermont is to exit the interstate highways and tour the secondary roads.

These roads introduce you to the towns and villages settled when America was young. It was in these towns and along these routes that the freedom fighters marched during the Revolutionary War. Vermont Byways range from 30 miles in length to over 400 miles in length. Historic sites, cultural experiences, recreational opportunities are along each Byway as well as covered bridges, stunning scenery, shopping, artisans, and a great deal more.
