Studio Tours

A Vermont artist at work in her studio.

Vermont is home to an impressive number of highly talented artists and craftspeople.

Printmakers, painters, sculptors, glass artists, furniture makers, metal smiths, and fabric artists are just some of the gifted artisans who find inspiration for their work in Vermont.  Each Memorial Day Weekend many of these artists and craftspeople open their studio to welcome visitors for conversation, demonstrations, browsing and buying.

This year's statewide Open Studios Weekend is scheduled for May 26 and 27, 2012.  The event is organized by the Vermont Crafts Council, and a map and guide will help you plan a full weekend of studio visits.  You can request this year's guide at www.vermontcrafts.com . And you can use the guide anytime (which is why we still have a link below to last year's guide) - just check the guide for gallery hours and how to contact artsts for pre-arranged studio visits.

Pictured above is fabric artist Judith Reiley.  You can see her work online at www.judithreilly.com, and when you're in Vermont, you can see it in person at the Brandon Artists Guild gallery.
