Vermont’s Travel Guidance

Know Before You Go

Vermont is open. At this time, Vermont has no statewide business, gathering, or travel-related restrictions. Travelers should look to their individual comfort levels and health considerations for guidance. Here are a few things to consider as you plan your visit to Vermont.

1. While there is no current statewide mask mandate in Vermont, best practices include having a mask with you just in case.

  • Businesses may still have stricter masking policies in place and can decline service to individuals not wearing a mask if they choose.
  • Businesses may require proof of vaccination. Please check their website.
2. Many Vermont testing sites offer free COVID-19 testing and test kits. You can find more information at the Vermont Department of Health.

3. To make the most of your time in Vermont, please check hours of operation, reservation requirements, and available services at restaurants, lodging properties, and stores before or during your visit. Due to COVID-19 or other staffing shortages, businesses may be operating at limited capacity, so it is always good to call ahead.
