Vermont Life
ONE OF AMERICA'S PREMIER REGIONAL MAGAZINES
Vermont Life was a thought-provoking, expertly designed quarterly magazine covering Vermont’s people, places, and culture. Stunning color photography and award-winning journalism made it the insider’s guide to Vermont food, arts and recreation, as well as the source for a behind-the-scenes look at the state’s creative economy and entrepreneurs.
Founded in 1946 and published by the state of Vermont, it was considered one of America’s premier regional magazines.
Vermont Life Online was founded in July, 1994 and was, we believe, the first regional magazine website in the world.
Vermont Life’s mission was to create an engaging online presence and publish a premier-quality magazine filled with the best writing, illustration, art and photography from Vermont. Every issue of Vermont Life celebrates the unique heritage, countryside, traditions and people of Vermont and explores issues of contemporary interest to Vermonters and visitors to the state.
After 72 years of publishing, the final punctuation mark of our magazine operations was the Summer 2018 issue. Vermont Life issues dating back to 1946 have been archived by Middlebury College and are available online for convenient viewing.
